Isaac nods, allthough it's still hard to imagine that he could be happy and not afraid all the time

Isaac: Okay, see you tomorrow

Isaac takes a few steps toward the exit, but then turn around and looks at Chris once more

Isaac: And Chris? Thank you, I probably would be dead right now if it wasn't for you

Isaac manages a soft smile and then walks outside, checking the area in front of the hospital to see if he can find Scott

Evan smiles at the Hale family, his smile widens when he sees Ian smiling at waving at him

Evan: Hello Mrs.Hale, Mr.Hale. Hello kids

He takes a seat and tries to ignore Peter grinning at Derek and him

Evan: Thank you Mrs.Hale. I hope it's okay that I join you

He looks at the girl next to him, probably one of Derek's sisters, as she talks to him

Evan: Warm? Well, I guess I'd be good company in winter then

Ian waves at Evan, feeling proud that he's the one of Derek's siblings who knows his new friend the best. He grins at Laura and teases her in a sing-song voice

Ian: Laura loves Evan

He takes a sip from his soda when Derek tousles his hair and playfully hits his big brother in the side with his elbow

Ian: Stop it, I don't want my hair to look scruffy like yours

He laughs and sticks his tongue out at Derek

Isaac is about to say something to Scott when a blue monster of a jeep screeches as it comes around the corner and stops in the parking lot. Isaac raises his eyebrows and can't help but chuckle as Stiles seems to be trapped in his seat

Isaac is surprised that Stiles speaks so openly about his sexual life, but also wonders how many more people know that he's had to go to hospital because his father beat him up so badly

Isaac: Hi Stiles

Evan laughs as he watches and listens to Derek and his siblings bicker. He can't help watching Ian because he's such a cute and funny kid. He remembers a time when dinner time in his family was as relaxed and fun as this, but it's not been like this for years. Nowadays, the atmosphere is tense, his mother always watching him, waiting if another one of those freak accidents will happen around him

Evan looks over at Cora and smiles

Evan: You know, my sister has an easy bake oven that she doesn't play with anymore. I'm sure she wouldn't mind if I brought it over the next time I come to visit Derek

Evan leans back in his chair to allow Peter to set down the plate

Evan: Thank you. I don't really drink beer, though

That's not really the truth of course, since he does drink one or two beers from time to time, but he doesn't want to start off on the wrong foot with Derek's mom

Evan almost chokes on his food when Peter mentions his mother's looks

Evan: Um....well, thanks I guess, Mr. Hale?

Ian: Ouch! Idiot!

Ian rubs his fingers over his tongue, whispering the 'Idiot'-part at Derek and then glares at his sisters. He's usually really glad to have Derek as his big brother, because it's already hard enough being a younger brother to two pubertal girls. He can't imagine what it would be like if he didn't have a brother as well.

He laughs as Derek reveals that he broke Cora's stupid easy bake oven. He couldn't stand being forced to play cafe or something girly like that anyway

Ian looks at Evan and Derek's glasses and tries to grab Derek's glass secretely to steal a sip from it

Isaac has never liked beer because his dad was always most violent and horny when he was drunk. On the other hand, he guesses he could use the distraction and might get into a good mood with alcohol and some weed

He looks at Stiles through the mirror and smiles grateful

Isaac: Thanks. I should just probably tell Danny

His ex would probably be somewhat glad to know that it wasn't his fault Isaac broke up with him

Evan looks at peter as he asks his question and blushes, feeling immediately awkward. He stutters around a bit and is glad that Derek jumps in for him

He smiles at Mrs.Hale for her kind words, but then immediately feels uncomfortable again when everyone starts asking questions, til finally Derek comes out with his confession

Evan smiles a bit awkwardly and holds Derek's hand under the table

Ian pouts, looking annoyed when Derek takes away the glass. He looks over at his uncle Peter and laughs

Ian: Typical uncle Peter question

He looks a bit surprised when Derek says that Evan likes boys, but he's always been used to it with Peter living in the house and doesn't really care.

But then he's pretty shocked when Derek says that he's Evan's boyfriend and isn't sure what to say

Ian: Can you catch being in love with guys

His question isn't supposed to be mean, he's really curious since it seems to be a big coincidence that his uncle is gay and his brother's newest friend and now he as well

Isaac looks down and feels guilty for hurting Danny so much. He nods at the guys

Isaac: I will tell him tomorrow. Today, I just need some time to wrap my head around all this

He sighs and looks out the window as the car rushes past the houses

Evan keeps rubbing Derek's hand with his thumb under the table, so he'll know that he's there for him. He's moved by how loving Derek's mother is with him and her other kids as well and smiles at her

Evan: I know Derek and I haven't been together for long and you might think we're too young to know what love is, but I truly do love him and will always treat him with the respect he deserves

He gets a bit nervous when he hears Peter's words, but then smiles again and kisses Derek

Ian looks down and feels embarassed that Cora would make him seem so stupid and childish. But then he smiles up at his mother as she talks about his beautiful eyes and rubs his face

He rubs Derek's shoulder as he sees his tears and leans in, leaning his head against his brother's shoulder

Ian: You'll still play baseball with me though, right?

Isaac stops in his tracks when he sees Derek sitting at the table and his heart beats a little faster. He's still scared of him, but also feels a weird kind of pull towards him, an urge to be close to him and get his approval

Isaac feels his eyes sting, like he's about to cry again, but he doesn't want to do it in front of the guys, so he stuffs his hands into his pant's pockets and balls them up to fists

Isaac: Um...can I use the bathroom?

Evan smiles at Derek and feels more relaxed now. He's not as uncomfortable anymore as he sees that the Hales seem to accept him and Derek's sexuality as well

Evan: Sure man, I love playing all sorts of sports

He grins at Ian and holds his hand up for a high-five
