Ian giggles about his mother's question

Isaac can't believe that Chris would actually mean those words. he's nervous as he stands in front of the mirror and can't even look at himself for more than a few seconds
Isaac: I...I don't know. Probably a loser
A combination of scars spell the word worhtless on his back. They're pretty faded by now, because his father cut them into him a few years ago, but when the light hits his skin, they're still readable

Talia: you boys go inside. We'll order pizza later
Derek smiles then has evan follow him inside. Laura, Cora and some other family members can be seen through a window hanging out in the backyard. Derek leads him to his bedroom and drops his backpack

Isaac hears Chris' words but can't believe them. His eyes go wide as the man turns him around, as it feels a bit forceful and reminds him of his dad. He can't look him in the eyes as he asks whether his father put those scars at him
Isaac: I....he...
Isaac can't get the words out, so he just nods, looking down. His eyes fill with tears and he balls his hands up to fists as he doesn't want to cry in front of the older man

He walks with Derek towards the house
Evan: Looks like Ian is your mother's baby since he's the youngest
Evan chuckles and catches glimpses of the rest of the family as the two of them walk by them
Evan: You really think so?, he asks and sits down on Derek's desk chair
