from the comments following, like this time of year could be the best time to do these before the plantlife grows up too much They look nice hills though... one day...
You wouldnt get me in shorts on a pedal bike - I always think of how much skin my legs would lose if I fell off and I dont go very fast either

We still have our old copy of the sunflower books from which we chose all the walks we did from Puerto de la Cruz. Had we gone again, I bet that we would have taken it and landed up with the missing bus stop like you. Very evocative photos.

I thought that might be the case. Not likely to happen with my dodgy shoulder or without for that matter, but it provides a good excuse
Cheers Murray for all of the additional info. I did mean to get in touch for some advice before going out, but ended up leaving everything up to the last minute. Next time and Im pretty sure there will be a next time before long, Ill be pumping you for info first

Well done for getting anything done at all. Really sorry to have missed the weekend. Appreciate the work that went into organising it. Hope to catch up with you soon.

I also think Oatcakeman is probably right as the shoes dont curve in enough at the ends for pony shoes.
Love those hills but havent done any of them for ages - especially love the NW ridge of Moelwyn Mawr and Craigysgafn. Didnt you do Moel yr Hydd? I like all the old ruins from the quarrying around that area too - very atmospheric.

More nice-looking walking. I think Im missing a trick now staying in the UK - maybe time to start going abroad again although obviously not this year now.
As for the wind... we had it ALL month here in Feb

My favourite scrambling route in the UK well perhaps joint with the Aggie Ridge. Tryfan is a very unique and enjoyable mountain to climb.
Like you say malky, you can go up it 12 times and still do a different route each time.
Coincidentally, I have just about reached my TR from 6 years ago on Tryfan & Bristly Ridge as I re-link all my photos to Flickr.

That looked pretty wet on the 2nd day. Think your the man to organize a SH Meet in Wales after wetting our appetite with all these reports.

That looked like my day pack, so where did you hide your kitchen sink?
Yeah - I thought that too Looks a really small pack. But Ive been on trips where Ive had nearly the biggest but also the lightest pack so I suppose it all depends on how good a packer you are

Looking to have a race this Sat. at the Mall. It could be a short enduro or a regular race. Let me know who is interested in coming and what you would like to race. THanks MK
